BIO-LINES

  Emiliano Cavicchi was born in Rome, Italy. After he graduated in Journalism in Rome and after completing his internships at Rai3, an Italian National Television Network and other news agencies, he decided to continue his studies at Italian Institute of Photography of Rome Isf-Ci (2005). Throughout the following two years he covered photography in depth from still-life to reportage, darkroom and digital new tendencies, and working in the meantime as part of the staff team for two more years. Among his expierences of that period, he has worked as assistant for Italian fashion photographers, such as Gaetano Mansi and French artist Nordine Sajot

  From then on he found his passion for telling stories and visual experiences through the medium of photography, starting his first personal reportages and projects in films. 

  In 2008 he worked with a Roman photojournalist agency Presstime for a brief time. He has been working with Greenpeace since 2005, during 2007-08 he has had the opportunity to work for Alice nella Città Foundation in the Festa Internazionale del Cinema di Roma, Saatchi & Saatchi Italia, in the 7th Festival of  theatre, music and arts Le Soleil, in Slovenia. His works were published in the Italian magazine Left, and the newspaper La Repubblica

  He's extensively traveled across and beyond throughout the years in the Old Continent keeping true to his long term personal projects Europa. His other main works involve In the Light of a Far-Away World, a statement about the political fight of Bangladesh Community in Rome in 2008, selected in Fotografia Festival Internazionale di Roma 2009, and Exprimo, a journey in the Roman punk hardcore skinhead scene.

  He has been participating in exhibitions since 2006 (Goethe Institut Rom 2007; Centro Culturale Bibli, 2007; Fotografia Festival Internazionale di Roma 2009, Dimensione Massima 10x12 project; Brooklyn Artillery Art Fair, New York City, 2009; Bursa Photo Fest, Turkey, 2011; among the others).
